I have a school of 8 river hatchets in my 180 litre community. They are also known as 'common' hatchet fish. However - they are actually rarer than the marbled version! They don't always stay at the top - but most of them are always hanging around there. From what I know - these fish are relatively hardy and, from my experience, VERY peaceful. They are a lot smaller than their marbled cousin - but lack the pattern.
